I was talking about The 3000 Club on a radio interview with Dave Isaacs, host of Breakthrough Thinking on KXXT 1010 AM

LON TAYOR explains what The 3000 Club is all about:

The 3000 Club is a Feed-The-Children charity that rescues food that might otherwise be thrown away because it doesn’t meet grocery store standards. Produce crosses the Mexico-US border daily. Much of it is rejected due to its size or color. The 3000 Clubwww.the3000club.org operates a sorting, re-packing, and transportation center near Nogales to distribute these fruits and vegetables to food banks. You can find out more about this wonderful organization at

A group of 3000 Club Members from Phoenix drove down to Nogales to see the Borderland Food Bank.  Borderland sorts produce and redistributes it to other Food Banks to feed the hungry.  This video shows the volunteers actually sorting some of the vegetables.  There are some testimonials from the members further down the page.

Here is a video blog by one of the members, Ana Gonzales. She gives her reason why she is a member. Her message speaks for itself.

A group of us went down to Nogales to visit the Borderland Food Bank.  A few of the people gave an on-camera testimonial about the experience. Here is Jodie, Peggy, and Bret talking about their experience.

Ted and Shirley are members of The 3000 Club who wanted to see for themselves what the Borderland Food Bank does in Nogales, Arizona.

You remember Ana from the first Testimonial? She went down to Nogales with her son and another mom and her son. Those boys were terrific. You should hear what they say about Borderland Food Bank.
